Every now and again, you land a job that makes you fall in love with photography all over again. Tokyo Fugue did that for me this week - a mesmerising hour's immersive theatre, dance and mime, in English and Japanese, at the Cockpit with the 2018 Camden Fringe, produced by tarinainanika theatre unit. An exquisite, dreamy performance that explores what it's like to exist in a busy metropolis, like Tokyo - what it's like to sleep and dream and get lost.
Some moments were a challenge, struggling to focus in extreme low light with ISO up to 16000 at times, but the grainy noise and strange colours suited the otherworldly nature of the piece. You can find more info about the show here: http://thecockpit.org.uk/show/tokyo_fugue
